Brief Curriculum Vitae

Amadou Latyr Ndiaye (born in Dakar, Sénégal) obtained his bachelor of science (B.Sc) in chemistry at Université de Franche–Comté (France) and was graduated from the same university in 2004. In 2005 he moved to Germany and completed his Ph.D. (Dr.rer.nat.) in chemistry (2009) under the co–supervision of Prof. M. Veith (Saarbrücken, Germany) and Prof. M. Knorr, (UTINAM, Besancon, France) and working on dithiolene and lanthanides chemistry. After a first postdoctoral stay in 2009 with Prof. M. Veith (INM, Institute for New Materials, Saarbrücken) devoted to thin films realisation by PVD and thermal CVD, he moved to Institut Pascal in 2010 to Clermont–Ferrand in the team of Prof. A. Pauly for a postdoctoral position devoted to gas sensors. His current research interest concerns: the elaboration of carbon nanotubes–based gas sensors for the detection of pollutants (NO2, O3, BTX, VFA etc.); the functionalisation of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with macrocycles (MCs); and dispersion techniques.
