Brief Curriculum Vitae
Prof. Marcel Bouvet prepared his PhD at the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles (ESPCI, Paris, France) and obtained it from the University Pierre and Marie Curie (UPMC), in 1992, on electrical properties of new molecular semiconductors. He has been working mainly at ESPCI, as associate professor, but also at the UPMC (Paris), and at the University of Connecticut (USA) as a NATO postdoctoral fellow. He got a full professor position at the University of Burgundy (Dijon, France), in 2008. He has been a visiting researcher at the Kyoto University (Prof. Naoki Sato) – Japan (Heiwa Nakajima Foundation fellowship). Currently, he is the head of the Electrochemistry, Molecular Materials and Devices (EMMD) team, in the Institut de Chimie Moléculaire de l’Université de Bourgogne (ICMUB). His research interests are in the field of molecular material–based devices, among them chemical sensors. He develops new conductimetric trannsducers for environnemt and food industry.
