Brief Curriculum Vitae
María Cruz Minguillón is currently a postdoc researcher at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA–CSIC).
Previously, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, USA, in the Aerosol Group,
and in Paul Scherrer Institute, Switzerland, in the Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry. Her research is focused on the air quality in urban,
regional and remote areas, the impact of implementation of corrective measures in the air quality, and the source apportionment
to ambient particulate matter with special emphasis on carbonaceous aerosols. She has participated in several international field campaigns and
more than 30 research projects, some of them as PI. She has supervised 2 PhD theses. She is author or co–author of more than 55 SCI research articles and
more than 100 contributions to conferences.
Areas of Research
Air quality, research on atmospheric pollutants to help decision taking on air quality management. Ambient particulate matter, chemical composition, source apportionment, industrialized areas. Carbonaceous aerosols.
Research Keywords
PM; source apportionment; carbonaceous aerosols
Areas of Future Interest
Personal exposure to PM, source apportionment to carbonaceous aerosols, remote sites air quality, sensor networks
